Kaz Hazelwood

Kaz is a passionate and creative counsellor, accredited associate executive coach and ecotherapist, who blends nature and artistic flair into therapy. Her approach combines the soothing power of nature, with the deep exploration provided by creative tools.

For Kaz, nature is not just a backdrop, but a vital part of the healing process, whether it’s a walk on the hills, near to where she lives or an outdoor client session….nature helps to relax and gain insights that might be hard to find indoors.

By using visuals, figures, visualisations, and other forms of expression, Kaz helps clients explore their feelings in ways that words alone can’t capture. “It’s like giving clients a new language to express themselves, and the results are profoundly powerful.”

Kaz’s background in creative marketing, events management and graphic design, adds a unique flair to her therapeutic work and driven by a desire to share the transformative power of creative and nature-based techniques.

When not crafting courses, Kaz enjoys making pasta, immersing herself in practical courses such as woodwork and pottery, being surrounded by nature, sitting in a good old pub playing cards and anything historical.

Kaz is excited to help therapists infuse their practices with creativity and nature, while sharing a few laughs along the way.

Simon Heath

Kaz met Simon through interviewing him for her podcast, ‘Stepping Out - Talking for Walking’ and their discussion on ecotherapy fuelled Kaz’s passion for integrating nature into her therapy; just the spark she needed.

Simon is a creative counsellor, supervisor, tutor and ecotherapist with a background in marketing and graphic design.  He brings fresh perspectives to the therapy room and is a firm believer in the power of nature and human connection, and encourages clients to explore their inner world through outdoor experiences and creative interventions. As a seasoned supervisor and counselling tutor, he supports counsellors in developing their practice and discovering a creative therapeutic space and voice.

His work in ecotherapy, offers clients a chance to connect with the natural world as a path to healing and growth. Simon's down-to-earth style and innovative approach is rooted in the belief that creativity is a powerful tool for personal growth and transformation. He incorporates a range of counselling techniques into his practice, helping clients to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences in new and meaningful ways. Whether it's through journaling, art, or simply spending time in nature, Simon guides clients in discovering their own unique creative process.

As a dedicated educator, he believes that by incorporating creative elements into their practice, counsellors can create a more engaging and effective therapeutic experience for their clients.

He loves eating cheese; bird watching and films (not at the same time) and his favourite punctuation mark is the semi-colon; which he often over-uses.

Kaz and Si collaborated to create these courses for fellow therapists and they are designed to be both practical and inspiring, reflecting the positive impact these methods have had on their own clients’ lives.
